Croquet in the Park: Old School Fun/New Friends

Remember playing croquet?

Most of us have played croquet somewhere along the way. Maybe in the backyard with our kids, our parents or grandparents. Maybe we didn’t really know all the rules, but we knew it was fun.

We want to bring some of that back.

2nd Summit is working with the Denver Croquet Club at Washington Park to put together a casual Sunday morning of croquet. They have the courts, the equipment and people who can show us how to play. You just need to show up.

This is not about competitive croquet. It’s about getting outside, trying something fun, meeting some people and hopefully having a lot of laughs and smiles along the way.

You don’t need any experience and you don’t need to bring any equipment. Croquet is easy to learn and almost anyone can participate.

We are going to keep this first one small — just 32 people — so availability will be extremely limited. If you want to join us, register quickly because once the 32 spots are gone, we’re full.

We’ll spend about two hours together on a Sunday morning and may add an opportunity for coffee, brunch or something casual before or afterward.

And if people have as much fun as we think they will, we’d like to work with the Denver Croquet Club to make this a recurring 2nd Summit community gathering and build a larger croquet community around the Denver Front Range.

Come by yourself or bring a friend. We’ll put groups together and make it easy.

Remember croquet? Come play again.
