Loved the tour. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable! There’s nothing I can think of to improve.

Interesting tour to see the theaters and all the spaces to make the non-traveling productions happen (wardrobe, wood & paint shop, set and lighting design, etc.). And we learned the history of the DCPA and all the theaters.
Our guide, Rodger, is awesome. He is knowledgeable, experienced, knows his theater history, capable of keeping stragglers gathered, in line and in a friendly manner. ????it was fabulous seeing the inner workings of the whole complex except the theater that is under construction so we will return. It’s astonishing, what goes into creating a single production. We will be back with young grandsons in tow. They are involved in Crested Butte’s community theater. Thank you for a top notch educational experience.
It was a very interesting and informative tour. I enjoyed learning about the designing of the sets from architectural drawings to scale models and beyond. The costume room was also a highlight. Highly recommend!
One of the best tours I’ve ever taken! The volunteer guide, Rodger has been doing them for 20 years and he’s excellent.
Great event choice.
Suggestions:
Name tags would have been nice.
Info on parking options would have been nice. The DCPA garage charges $18 for two hours. So I parked at a meter for $4 but had to leave the tour a little early.
Good to Know
Please note: participants should meet at the Box Office in the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex lobby. Tour ambassadors greet guests there before the tour begins.
