Mixed Taste: La Llorona & Green Chile
Mixed Taste: Where serious topics meet some not-so-serious fun. these are fantastic, fascinating talks and will sell out fast!
In this lecture series, two speakers take the stage with back-to-back talks on completely unrelated topics. Then the audience steps in for the Q&A and takes questions on both topics at the same time. During the first part of the program, no connections are allowed between the topics. During the Q&A, anything can happen. This lecture pairs Dr. Nicki Gonzales, a Denver-born historian and educator interested in the intersections of history, identity, and belonging in the American West with Jeremy Jojola, the creator of Cuentos y Corazón, a storytelling project exploring the history, culture, and identity of Spanish-speaking communities in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado.
