This is a chance to hear Herbie Hancock’s music in the hands of a seasoned quartet, up close at Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club. Colorado pianist and composer Dave Hanson returns to the club’s stage with a band of Denver standouts: Adam Gang on sax, Mark Simon on bass, and Harold Summey on drums.
The group will spend the evening celebrating Hancock’s work — music that helped shape modern jazz — in a relaxed, listening-focused setting. It’s an easy way to share a table, a drink, and a live soundtrack with others who enjoy thoughtful jazz.
