2nd Summit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

2nd Summit (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the 2nd Summit website, application, and related services (together, the “Platform”). For questions, email info@2ndsummit.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and sign-in credentials. Credentials are stored in protected form, and if you sign in with another provider (such as Google or Apple) we receive the basic profile details that provider shares.
  • Profile information you choose to provide, such as a photo, a short note about yourself, your interests, your location or home city, your age range, gender, and stage of life, how you like to take part, and an optional mailing address.
  • Health, fitness, and accessibility notes. Anything you tell us about pace, fitness, or access needs is optional. By providing it, you consent to us using it to plan experiences and sharing it with the ambassador for experiences you reserve.
  • Activity data — reservations, waitlist entries, saved experiences, the communities you follow or join, and your interactions on the Platform.
  • Content and messages — posts, chat messages, stories, photos, reviews, answers to questions we ask, and anything you send us.
  • Information about other people. When you name a guest, add someone to your Crew, or invite a friend, you give us their name and contact details. Please only do so if you have their permission.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We receive a confirmation and limited card details (such as the last four digits); we do not store your full payment card details.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, referring URLs, and how you interact with the Platform.
  • Approximate location — we may estimate your city from your IP address to show experiences near you. Precise location is used only if you enable it, and you can disable it through your device settings.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how the Platform is used, and measure our advertising.

Information from other sources: we may receive information about you from event organizers and partners, from sign-in providers, from records you created with us on earlier versions of our site or our mailing lists, and from publicly available sources.

How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Platform.
  • Confirm and manage your reservations, waitlist spots, memberships, and payments, and send you the details you need to show up.
  • Communicate with you about experiences, updates, and community opportunities.
  • Personalize your experience and recommend experiences, communities, and people you may enjoy.
  • Connect you with other members in the ways you choose, and help ambassadors and organizers run the experiences you attend.
  • Analyze usage trends so we can improve the Platform.
  • Keep the Platform and our community safe, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We use service providers, including automated and artificial intelligence tools, to help with some of this work — for example, preparing listings, sorting messages you send us, and suggesting experiences. We do not use automated processing to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

What other members see

2nd Summit is a community, so some information is visible to other members. Your profile settings control what other members can see, including whether you appear in who’s going to an experience and whether other members can find you. Posts and messages you share in a community chat or conversation are visible to the other people in it. Please think about what you share — we cannot control what other members do with information you choose to share with them.

Analytics and advertising

We use analytics tools, including our own, to understand how the Platform is used. Some of these tools record how pages are used, including in signed-in areas, with what you type masked. Raw analytics events from our own tracker are deleted automatically after 90 days.

We work with advertising partners to measure and target our advertising, which may involve sharing limited information about your visits and actions with them. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it as an opt-out of analytics tracking and targeted advertising. You can also email us and we will apply the opt-out to your account.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. With trusted vendors that help us operate the Platform — such as hosting, databases, payment processing, email and text delivery, analytics, error monitoring, artificial intelligence services, and advertising — under contracts that require them to protect your data.
  • Ambassadors. The ambassador for an experience you reserve sees the profile and contact details you have given us, including any fitness or accessibility note, so they can plan, check you in, and reach you on the day.
  • Event organizers and partners. If you register for a third-party event through the Platform, we may share your registration details with the organizer so they can manage your participation. Their own privacy practices apply from that point.
  • Other members, as described above and as your settings allow.
  • Business transfers. If 2nd Summit is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
  • Legal requirements. If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of 2nd Summit, our users, or the public.
  • With your consent, or at your direction.

We may also share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not identify you.

Third-party links and events

The Platform may link to third-party websites, events, services, or products. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing your information.

Email and text messages

We send two kinds of messages. Service messages — sign-in codes, reservation confirmations, and changes to an experience you are registered for — come with your use of the Platform. Marketing messages are optional: you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or from your preferences, and we will still send you service messages. If you agree to receive text messages, message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Agreeing to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.

Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, keep the Platform safe, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will remove or de-identify your personal information at your request, except where retention is required by law or needed for these purposes — for example, records of payments. Content you shared with other members, such as messages in a community chat, may remain visible to them.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. No online system can guarantee complete security, and we cannot ensure the absolute security of your data. Please keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think your account has been compromised.

Children’s privacy

The Platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

Your rights and choices

  • Account information. You may update or delete your account information through your account or profile, or by contacting us.
  • Marketing. Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message, adjust your preferences, or reply STOP to a text.
  • Cookies and tracking. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some Platform features may not function properly without them. Turning on Global Privacy Control opts you out of targeted advertising.
  • Colorado residents. You may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. To exercise these rights, email us. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact the Colorado Attorney General.
  • Residents of other states may have similar rights under their state’s law, and may exercise them the same way.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and an authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with proof of that authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Where we process information

2nd Summit is based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on the Platform with a revised “Last updated” date, and where required we will notify you in other ways. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
