Here is everything else in aqua fitness. If aqua cycling (underwater spin) is your thing, you could be the one who starts it.
Could you be the ambassador for aqua cycling (underwater spin)?
An ambassador is the friendly face at the door: there a quarter of an hour early, greeting people by name where they can, making sure nobody stands on their own. It's low-key, and ambassadors get perks along the way, including a discount on Plus membership.

Browse everythingAqua fitness is movement in the water—think walking, stretching, and simple strength work supported by buoyancy instead of fighting gravity. It’s a way to feel strong and steady without pounding your joints or keeping up with anyone else.
At 2nd Summit, we’re exploring aqua fitness as a low-pressure option for people in their next chapter who want to stay active, rebuild confidence, or simply enjoy the feeling of moving in the water again. We’re starting in the Denver Metro area, learning from local pools and instructors so future offerings feel thoughtful, welcoming, and right-sized for real life.
Whether it’s been years since you were last in a pool or you’re curious to try water-based movement for the first time, our aim is to make it easy to show up, move at your own pace, and leave feeling a little looser and lighter than when you arrived.

Why aqua fitness matters
Movement that’s kind to your body
As routines shift in this next chapter of life, many people want to stay active without punishing their bodies. Aqua fitness uses the water’s natural buoyancy to support you, easing stress on joints while still asking your muscles and heart to show up.
That balance—supportive yet engaging—can make it easier to return to regular movement after time away, injury, or simply a busy season. You can challenge yourself without the pressure to perform.
A safe place to rebuild confidence
Getting back into movement can feel vulnerable, especially if group classes or gyms haven’t felt like your places. The water changes that equation: it softens edges, slows everything down, and gives you a bit of privacy under the surface.
In a well-led aqua class, you can adapt each exercise to your own comfort level, skip what doesn’t feel right today, and find small wins—like discovering you’re more flexible, balanced, or strong than you expected.
Stress relief, breath, and presence
There’s something grounding about being in the water—sound is softer, movements are smoother, and you’re more aware of your breath. Many people find that even a simple water workout clears mental clutter as much as it works the body.
Aqua fitness can become a regular rhythm that anchors your week: an hour where your phone is away, your mind is focused on the next simple movement, and you walk out feeling a bit more centered.
An easy way to connect with others
Shared movement creates easy conversation—comparing how the water felt today, laughing when you lose your balance, or trading tips about favorite instructors and pools.
For people in a new season of life, those small, repeated encounters can grow into real connection. Aqua fitness offers a low-pressure setting where you can come alone, recognize a few familiar faces over time, and feel part of something without needing to be “on.”

Good to know
Do I need to be a strong swimmer to try aqua fitness?
Most aqua fitness classes are designed for non-swimmers as well as swimmers. Many take place in shallow water where you can stand comfortably, and even deep-water options use belts or floatation devices for support. When we curate offerings, we’ll clearly note the depth, required comfort level in water, and any gear provided so you can choose what feels right.
What kind of fitness level do I need?
Aqua fitness is generally friendly to a wide range of fitness levels, including people easing back into movement. Water supports your body while still offering resistance, so you can increase or decrease effort by changing your pace, range of motion, or position in the pool. Our focus will be on options that welcome beginners and let you work at your own level.
What should I bring to an aqua fitness session?
Typically you’ll want a comfortable swimsuit, a towel, and sandals or pool shoes for walking on deck. Some people like to bring a water bottle and a light cover-up for after class. When we list specific events, we’ll share details on any provided equipment—like noodles, belts, or aqua dumbbells—and what’s optional vs. required.
I haven’t worn a swimsuit in ages. Will I feel out of place?
You’re not alone in feeling that hesitation. Aqua fitness spaces we look for tend to be practical rather than fashion-focused—people are there to move, not to judge. Many participants choose whatever swimwear feels secure and comfortable for them, from swim shorts to one-piece suits and rash guards. Our goal is to highlight settings where feeling at ease matters more than looking a certain way.
How much do aqua fitness classes usually cost?
Pricing varies by facility—some pools include classes with general admission, while others charge per class or offer multi-class passes. When 2nd Summit features specific aqua fitness options in the Denver Metro area, we’ll share clear pricing details and any membership requirements so there are no surprises. You can then decide what fits your budget and schedule.
