Here is everything else in creative making & craft. If floral design & garden art is your thing, you could be the one who starts it.
Could you be the ambassador for floral design & garden art?
An ambassador is the friendly face at the door: there a quarter of an hour early, greeting people by name where they can, making sure nobody stands on their own. It's low-key, and ambassadors get perks along the way, including a discount on Plus membership.

Nothing on the calendar just yet
We're still finding the right creative making & craft to bring you.
Browse everythingCreative making at 2nd Summit is less about perfect results and more about the joy of trying things with your own two hands — paint, clay, pen, yarn, flowers, food, and more.
We curate small, welcoming experiences in the Denver Metro area where you can learn from thoughtful instructors, experiment with new materials, and enjoy that quiet focus that comes when you’re really absorbed in a project.
Whether it’s a latte art workshop, a first pottery class, or finally shaping the story you’ve been carrying around for years, you’ll find simple, well-designed gatherings that leave plenty of room for conversation and curiosity.

Why creative making & craft matters
Making with your hands, settling your mind
There’s a particular calm that comes from measuring, shaping, cutting, or stitching — your attention narrows, your shoulders drop, and the rest of the world quiets down for a bit.
In this next chapter of life, that kind of focused absorption can be a powerful counterweight to busy minds and shifting routines. Creative craft gives you a way to be fully present without needing to sit still or meditate — your hands lead, and your thoughts follow.
Turning stories and experience into something new
You carry decades of observations, memories, and opinions. Workshops in writing, storytelling, or memoir give you tools to shape all of that into something you can read, share, or simply understand more clearly yourself.
Putting words on a page or voice to a story isn’t about performance — it’s about noticing what matters to you now, in this season, and giving it a form you can return to.
Built-in conversation starters
A table full of tools or ingredients makes it easy to talk to people you’ve just met — "What are you making?" is often all it takes. Creative sessions create a gentle rhythm: a little focus, a little chat, back to the work.
For many people in transition, this feels more natural than formal networking or small talk. You leave with something you made and a few new names or faces that already feel familiar.
Trying new roles without big commitments
One of the gifts of a new chapter is the chance to experiment. Maybe you were never "the creative one" or you haven’t picked up a tool since a long-ago class.
Short, well-designed workshops — a single culinary session, a beginner pottery class, a low-stakes writing group — let you explore a different side of yourself without needing to invest in gear, memberships, or long-term programs upfront.

Good to know
I’m not "artistic". Are these activities still for me?
Yes. 2nd Summit focuses on process over perfection. Instructors and hosts design sessions so that complete beginners feel comfortable, and returning makers can still stretch themselves. You’ll get clear guidance, simple steps, and plenty of room to experiment without pressure.
What kind of experience or skill level do I need?
Most Creative Making & Craft experiences are beginner-friendly and assume little to no recent experience. If something does require prior skills or comfort with specific tools, we’ll describe that clearly up front so you can decide whether it’s a fit. The goal is to meet you where you are, not test you.
What should I bring to a workshop or group?
For hands-on craft or culinary sessions, materials and tools are usually provided unless the description says otherwise. Writing and storytelling groups may suggest a notebook, device, or draft pages if you have them, but showing up with just your attention is enough. You’ll receive specific details for each event in advance.
Is it okay to come alone?
Absolutely. Many people join 2nd Summit events solo, especially in this category. The shared project or prompt gives you an easy way to connect without forced icebreakers, and hosts are intentional about making newcomers feel at ease.
How much do these activities typically cost?
Costs vary depending on materials, instructor fees, and venue. Some gatherings are modestly priced community sessions, while others — like glass or culinary labs — run higher due to equipment and supplies. We’re transparent about pricing and what’s included so you can choose what fits your budget and interest.
How does a 2nd Summit creative event usually run?
Most sessions start with a brief welcome, a simple demo or overview, and then guided hands-on time with room for questions. There’s usually space to pause, look around at what others are making, and chat. By the end, you’ll walk away with something you created or started — and a clearer sense of whether you’d like to explore that craft further.
