Could you be the ambassador for ballroom & latin dance?
An ambassador is the friendly face at the door: there a quarter of an hour early, greeting people by name where they can, making sure nobody stands on their own. It's low-key, and ambassadors get perks along the way, including a discount on Plus membership.

Browse everythingDance & movement arts at 2nd Summit are about shared energy, not perfect steps. Whether it’s a simple line dance or a slow tango walk, you’ll find options that meet you where you are.
We’re curating low-pressure classes and socials around the Denver Metro area that make it easy to move, laugh, and learn alongside others in their next chapter. No sequins required—just comfortable shoes and a bit of curiosity.
As these programs take shape, you’ll see small, well-designed gatherings that focus on connection and enjoyment, with plenty of room for beginners and “haven’t-danced-in-years” folks.
Slow, musical partner dancing that favors connection and simple walking patterns—great for thoughtful beginners.
Easygoing evenings with light instruction and open dancing—ideal if you’d like to meet people in a relaxed setting.
Simple choreographed steps in a group—no partner needed, perfect for building confidence and having fun together.
Classic partner dances like waltz, rumba, or cha-cha—suited to anyone curious about graceful movement and timing.
Lively partner and solo steps to jazz and swing music—great if you enjoy upbeat tunes and a playful atmosphere.
Gentler, music-driven dance fitness with simple routines—designed for comfort, coordination, and steady movement.
Supportive classes focused on posture, balance, and simple barre work—ideal for thoughtful, detail-oriented movers.
Traditional group dances with calls and patterns—perfect if you like structure, music, and shared laughter.
Many people step into a new chapter of life and realize their routines have gone a bit still. Dance and movement arts offer a gentle way to bring motion back—one song, one step at a time.
Because there’s a range of styles and tempos, you can choose what feels right for your body today. It’s less about burning calories and more about waking up balance, coordination, and confidence in how you move through the world.
Following a rhythm, remembering patterns, and responding to a partner all ask your brain to stay present and engaged. That blend of focus and play is powerful.
Learning new steps—whether a tango walk or a simple line dance—can sharpen attention and give you that satisfying sense of progress. You’re not just exercising; you’re learning a language made of music and motion.
Dance has always been a way people come together. In this chapter of life, you may be looking for connection that feels genuine, not like networking or a forced social hour.
Partner rotations, group circles, and casual mixers make it easy to chat, laugh, and recognize familiar faces over time. You don’t have to be outgoing—just willing to show up and let the shared activity do some of the talking for you.
When careers shift or households quiet down, it’s easy to feel like your identity is in transition. Picking up a movement practice—whether returning to it or starting fresh—can be a grounded way to explore who you are now.
There’s no performance pressure in the kinds of gatherings 2nd Summit curates. Just room to experiment, surprise yourself, and enjoy being a beginner—or a beginner again.

No. 2nd Summit looks for offerings that welcome true beginners as well as people dusting off old skills. Many sessions start with basic instruction and build slowly, so you can get comfortable with the music, steps, and space before things pick up. If an activity leans more advanced, we’ll say so clearly.
If you can stand and move around a room at a walking pace, there will likely be options for you. Styles like line dancing, Zumba Gold, and social ballroom can be taken at a steady, comfortable intensity. You’re always encouraged to rest, modify movements, or sit out a song as needed—there’s no expectation to keep up with anyone else.
You’re absolutely welcome to come solo. Many people do. For partner dances, most community events rotate partners, and we focus on settings where singles are included naturally. For non-partner styles—like line dancing, Zumba Gold, or some folk forms—no partner is needed at all, which can be a nice way to ease in.
Comfortable, breathable clothing and shoes you can move in are usually all you need. Closed-toe, low-traction shoes are often recommended for smoother turns, but we’ll share any specific guidance for each gathering. A water bottle and light layers are helpful so you can stay comfortable as you warm up.
Costs vary by venue and format—some community dances are quite affordable, while workshop-style classes can be a bit more. When we list a specific gathering, we’ll include clear price information and whether there are drop-in options. Our aim is to highlight experiences that feel like good value for the time, attention, and resources you’re investing.
We’re in the process of curating dance and movement offerings around the Denver Metro area that fit our Move, Discover, and Connect pillars. Rather than hosting everything ourselves, we often partner with or recommend trusted local studios, instructors, and community groups that share our low-pressure, welcoming approach. As the calendar grows, you’ll be able to browse options, pick what fits your taste and schedule, and join in as often as you’d like.
