Here is everything else in games & puzzles. If jigsaw puzzle clubs is your thing, you could be the one who starts it.
Could you be the ambassador for jigsaw puzzle clubs?
An ambassador is the friendly face at the door: there a quarter of an hour early, greeting people by name where they can, making sure nobody stands on their own. It's low-key, and ambassadors get perks along the way, including a discount on Plus membership.

Why games & puzzles matters
Connection that feels natural, not forced
It can be tricky to walk into a room and simply “mingle.” Games and puzzles solve that problem. The activity itself gives you something to do with your hands and something to talk about, so conversation unfolds on its own.
At a shared table — whether it’s mahjong tiles, a deck of cards, or a trivia sheet — you quickly move from small talk to shared jokes, near-wins, and “remember when” stories. It’s an easy way to build new social circles in your next chapter, without feeling like you’re networking.
A gentle workout for your mind
Learning a new game, recalling a strategy, or puzzling through a tricky clue all ask your brain to stay curious and flexible. The stakes are low, but the engagement is real.
Regular play can help keep you mentally engaged in a way that feels like fun, not homework. You’re picking up new patterns, trying different approaches, and stretching your thinking — alongside others who are doing the same.
Low-pressure structure in a changing routine
When your daily rhythm shifts — kids grown, work changing, more open afternoons or evenings — it’s easy for days to start blending together. A weekly game night or puzzle meetup adds a light, reliable anchor to your calendar.
Because the format is familiar and the expectations are simple, it’s easier to show up, even when you’re not sure what you’re looking for yet. Over time, those simple gatherings can become the touchpoints that help define what’s next.
Space for both comfort and trying something new
Some people come back to games they loved years ago; others try chess, mahjong, or new board games for the very first time. Both paths matter.
Games & puzzles offer a rare mix: they’re structured enough to feel safe and predictable, but flexible enough to let you experiment, laugh at mistakes, and discover new sides of yourself — all in good company.

Good to know
I haven’t played in years — will I be out of place?
Not at all. Many people join 2nd Summit game events as beginners or returners. Hosts and regulars expect to explain rules, walk through a few practice rounds, and keep things friendly while everyone settles in. Knowing every detail isn’t the point — enjoying the time together is.
Do I need to bring my own games or supplies?
Usually, the games, tiles, cards, and basic supplies are provided or set up by the venue or host. If a particular event asks you to bring anything — like a favorite deck, a puzzle to share, or a notebook for trivia — we’ll say so clearly in the event details. You’re always welcome to bring reading glasses or anything that helps you feel comfortable.
Can I come alone, or do I need a partner or team?
Coming solo is very common, and events are designed with that in mind. Hosts help pair people up for partner games, fill tables and teams, and make introductions. You can also invite a friend if that feels easier, but there’s no expectation to arrive with a ready-made group.
How competitive are these games and groups?
2nd Summit leans toward friendly, low-pressure play. Some people enjoy keeping score, but the focus is on conversation, learning, and having a good time together. If an event expects more serious or tournament-style play, we’ll describe that clearly so you can choose what fits your style.
What does a typical 2nd Summit game or puzzle event feel like?
Expect small to medium-sized groups, a welcoming host, and a clear starting point — a table assignment, team list, or quick rules overview. There’s usually time to chat before and after, with the activity itself as the anchor in the middle. You’re free to play at your own pace, step back for a break, or just enjoy the atmosphere.
How much do these activities usually cost?
Costs vary by event and venue. Some gatherings are free aside from your own food or drink; others may have a modest fee to cover space, hosting, or materials. Each event listing will outline any costs up front so you can choose what fits your budget before you RSVP.
