Here is everything else in racket & court sports. If pickleball (open play, leagues, clinics) is your thing, you could be the one who starts it.
Could you be the ambassador for pickleball (open play, leagues, clinics)?
An ambassador is the friendly face at the door: there a quarter of an hour early, greeting people by name where they can, making sure nobody stands on their own. It's low-key, and ambassadors get perks along the way, including a discount on Plus membership.

Why racket & court sports matters
Movement that fits this chapter
Racket and court sports offer a way to move that’s structured but not rigid. You get short bursts of effort, natural pauses between points, and the ability to dial the intensity up or down based on how you feel that day.
For many people in a new life chapter—after a career shift, kids leaving home, or a move—these sports can become a gentle anchor in the week. You’re not training for anything; you’re just giving your body a reason to run a little, stretch a little, and remember what it feels like to play.
Sharpening focus, one rally at a time
Tracking the ball, planning your next shot, and adjusting to your partner all ask just enough of your brain to keep it engaged. The rules are simple, but the little decisions you make each point keep your attention in the present.
That focused, in-the-moment feeling is a welcome contrast to days spent on screens or in routines that blur together. An hour on the court can clear mental cobwebs and leave you pleasantly alert, without needing to study or sit through a lecture.
Built-in conversation and community
Court sports are naturally social—the format gives you partners, opponents, and plenty of breaks where conversation flows. You don’t have to “network” or make small talk from scratch; you already share the game in front of you.
Over time, regular play can turn familiar faces into a small community. You might start out rotating through doubles teams and end up with people you grab coffee with afterward, travel to matches with, or text when you’re free for an extra game.
Space to be a beginner again
This chapter of life can be an invitation to try things you never had time for—or to return to sports you once loved, without pressure to perform. Racket and court games are especially welcoming because they offer clear, learnable skills and visible progress.
2nd Summit looks for coaches, hosts, and formats that make room for questions, rust, and different comfort levels. You can step onto the court as you are, learn at your pace, and enjoy the satisfaction of getting just a little better, week by week.

Good to know
I haven’t played in years. Will I be out of place?
Not at all. This category is designed with returners and curious first-timers in mind. We prioritize formats and partners that welcome different skill levels and focus on enjoyment over competition. You’ll find clear guidance, warm hosts, and plenty of people shaking the rust off alongside you.
How fit do I need to be to join a racket or court session?
Most sessions we curate aim for moderate movement—enough to feel active, not pushed to the limit. Many sports can be scaled by choosing doubles over singles, shorter sessions, or lower-intensity drills. If an activity calls for more stamina or quick movement, we’ll say that plainly in the description so you can decide what fits your body right now.
What should I bring to a typical court sports gathering?
Comfortable clothes you can move in, supportive court shoes, and water are usually enough. Some venues provide shared equipment, while others expect you to bring your own racket or paddle; we’ll note that in each listing. If you don’t yet own gear, we’ll highlight beginner-friendly options and sessions where you can try things out first.
Can I come alone, or do I need a partner?
You’re welcome to come on your own. Many people in the 2nd Summit community arrive solo, especially when they’re just getting back into a sport. We look for hosts who help mix partners, form doubles teams, and make introductions so you’re not standing on the sideline wondering where to start.
What should I expect to pay for these activities?
Costs vary based on the venue, format, and whether instruction is included. Some options are simple court-fee or drop-in prices, while others are more like small-group lessons. We aim for a range that feels reasonable for recurring play and will always list pricing clearly so you can decide what fits your budget.
How will 2nd Summit’s racket and court events work in Denver?
We’re currently listening to local interest and building relationships with clubs, community centers, and coaches in the Denver metro area. As offerings come together, we’ll curate a small set of well-hosted sessions instead of endless listings—think open-play blocks, intro clinics, and social formats you can count on. You’ll be able to browse online, choose what fits, and sign up for just the gatherings that suit you.
